Orikio is taking a new key step in its international development. As the article points out Les Echos in their recently published article, the company takes its first steps in Japan, a country facing an unprecedented demographic aging and particularly open to technological innovations in the field of care and autonomy.
By 2070, nearly one in three Japanese people will be over 65. In this context, Orikio identified the country as a strategic priority. To facilitate its local establishment, the company, formerly known as OSO-AI, also changed its brand at the end of 2025, marking a new phase in its international development.
Relying on a local partner, Orikio opened a sales representative on site and launched its first trials in Japanese establishments. Its technology is based on connected boxes capable of analyzing, with great precision, various distress situations: falls, suffocations, or even altercations between residents. A technological advance consolidated by a portfolio of 12 patents, in constant evolution.
Already present in several European countries such as Switzerland or Denmark, Orikio is simultaneously continuing to grow in France, despite a fragmented market. Today, nearly 4,500 rooms are equipped, and the brand's reputation continues to grow. The company, which has raised 14 million euros since its creation, and doubled its turnover in 2025, expects a new phase of growth for 2026.

A big thank you to Les Echos and to Guillaume Roussange for this enlightening look at the challenges of aging, innovation and the international expansion of Orikio.
