Orikio takes a new step in its international expansion, having been recognized in Japan at the Wellbeing Awards organized by the Asahi Shimbun Group.

These awards celebrate initiatives that help build a society where people can live better, for longer — in a country that now has one of the highest life expectancies in the world.

Orikio is among the winners, receiving a Gold Award, granted to around ten organizations committed to addressing these challenges. Watch the award ceremony replay on the Asahi Group website.

Strong recognition in a leading market

Receiving this distinction in Japan is particularly meaningful. The country is one of the most advanced in the world when it comes to addressing the challenges of an aging population.

This award validates the relevance of Orikio’s approach: providing a solution that can detect risk situations continuously, discreetly, and non-intrusively, without adding complexity to caregivers’ daily routines.

It also highlights a broader reality: the needs are universal, improving safety without compromising human care.

Strengthened momentum in Japan

At the same time, Orikio has reached a key milestone with the obtention of its TAIS code in Japan.

This official recognition:

  • identifies Orikio as a validated solution on the Japanese market
  • facilitates access to public funding for care institutions
  • accelerates its operational deployment

A critical lever in an ecosystem where innovation and public frameworks are closely interconnected.

This momentum is also reflected locally. Orikio’s CEO will travel to Japan from March 30 to April 3 as part of the delegation led by President Emmanuel Macron.

A strong signal that highlights growing opportunities for collaboration between France and Japan around aging-related challenges — and confirms Orikio’s ambitions in this strategic market.
